While Georgia Class C license holders who are 21 years of age or older can generally accumulate 15 points over a 24 month period prior to any suspension of driving privileges, Georgia license holders who are under 21 and/or under 18 are subject to more strict and stringent laws regarding suspensions caused by point accumulation. Specifically, youthful Georgia licensees can face suspension of driving privileges based upon 4 points being assessed in a certain time period shorter than 24 months.
With suspension of driving privileges being additional to any punishment in Court and any increase in insurance rates, and with public transportation not being readily available in Southeast Georgia, when a youthful offender receives a Traffic Citation in Statesboro, Bulloch County, Georgia or any surrounding Southeast Georgia counties, contact an experienced attorney with detailed knowledge of Georgia’s Traffic Laws to assist.
